The New Chesapeake Men for Progress Education Foundation was proud to accompany eleven Chesapeake Middle School students to the Norfolk State University Football Homecoming game on Saturday, October 25, 2025.  Mr. Al Alexander, Dr. Brian Cuffie, Mr. Linward Fields, and Mr. David Hamilton served as mentors to eleven students from Crestwood Middle School, Hugo Owens Middle School, Oscar Smith Middle School, and Indian River Middle School.  The students were selected based upon their academic performance, good behavior, and excellent character.  The students enjoyed the limousine-style vans and the Chesapeake Sheriff Department motorcycle escort to the Norfolk State University campus.  Moreover, the students were excited about their gift of official NCMPEF shirts, the NSU band, the concessions, the actual game, and homecoming festivities.  Chairman Alexander stated to the students and their parents that there will be future field trips to a basketball game and a museum.  Special thanks to committee members Mr. Al Alexander, Col. William Bennett, Mr. David Hamilton, and Mr. Tim Jones for planning the event.
