The New Chesapeake Men for Progress Education Foundation was proud to accompany a number of Chesapeake Middle School students to the APEX Entertainment Center in Virginia Beach on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Mr. Al Alexander, Dr. Brian Cuffie, and Mr. Tim Jones served as mentors to students from Crestwood Middle School, Oscar Smith Middle School, and Indian River Middle School. The students were selected based upon their academic performance, good behavior, and excellent character. The students enjoyed the limousine-style van, great food from Wild Wing Cafe in Chesapeake, and beating the mentors in games! Moreover, the students were excited about their gift of official NCMPEF shirts. Chairman Alexander stated to the students and their parents that there will be future field trips and guest speakers. Special thanks to committee members Mr. Al Alexander, Col. William Bennett, Dr. Brian Cuffie, Mr. David Hamilton, and Mr. Tim Jones for planning the event.
