The New Chesapeake Men for Progress Educational Foundation awarded $3000 to four Chesapeake Title I elementary schools for school supplies and partnered with a local church for a resume writing class on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.  Carver Intermediate School (Principal S. Popson), Thurgood Marshall Elementary School (Principal H. Robinson), Truitt Intermediate School (Principal E. Coker), Rena B. Wright Primary School (Principal P. Foard), and The Chesapeake Center for Student Success (Principal R. Brewer) all received checks in the amount of $500 each for school supplies.  New Mount Olive Church AMEreceive a check in the amount of $500 for hosting a resume writing class open to the students of Chesapeake Public Schools.

The NCMPEF is a 501(C)3 charitable organization that provides scholarships and mentoring to the youth in the City of Chesapeake.  NCMPEF has awarded over $250,000 to the youth of Chesapeake since its inception.
